Summit Financial Tabs Industry Veteran to Drive Advisor Recruitment Efforts

Key Hire to Support Roll Out of Innovative Advisor Platform Offering, SummitVantage

ARSIPPANY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Summit Financial, a 36-year-old1 financial services firm supporting independent wealth management advisors, today announced the hiring of Michelle McIntyre as Director of Growth and Business Development. McIntyre brings decades of industry experience to her outreach role, connecting regularly with advisors in need of better operational infrastructure, planning support, and technology capabilities. She will report directly to CEO Stan Gregor and will be responsible for expanding the firm’s advisor recruitment footprint and more broadly introducing the SummitVantage advisor platform to the market.

Summit has been incubating SummitVantage, working on comprehensive integrations in order to deliver a ground-breaking new solution suite providing access to essential services that eliminate operational burdens.

“We’ve spent years preparing to provide what has become SummitVantage to a broader market,” said Gregor. “We’re proud to have leaders like Michelle communicating an offering that we believe is an exemplary solution for advisors looking to grow their businesses and best serve clients.”

McIntyre previously served as the Head of Distribution for Spencer Capital Advisors, responsible for sales of the hedge fund and separate account management. She subsequently worked with Merrill Lynch for 23 years in various leadership roles, including Western Division Sales Manager in San Francisco, Eastern Division Sales Manager for the Private Banking and Investment Group in New York, Senior Financial Advisor and Producing Manager in Bridgewater, NJ, and Head of Marketing and Product Development, Retirement Services in Princeton, NJ.

SummitVantage is the fully-integrated technology platform that unites all facets of a financial advisor’s practice: financial planning, investment management, risk management, operations, client billing, legal and compliance, advisor lending services, and HR resources. As part of this buildout, Summit has invested significant capital to integrate best-of-breed technologies into a single, proprietary advisor portal building off the firm’s long-standing capabilities in planning, investments and insurance.

“Firms that want to survive in this ultra-competitive market need to double-down on advisor support and the technology and services that are the backbone of advisor success. Being able to bring something like SummitVantage into the equation in discussions with advisors looking for a better home for their business made the difference for me in deciding to step into this role,” explains McIntyre.
